Camel Rider Courtroom Drama Speech

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury I present my case. The book Camel Rider by Prue Mason,
a book that I have recently read is spectacular.
Firstly the book is one you wont let go of. This is a short summary. War has broken out in
the Middle East and everyone is fleeing. Instead of escaping with his neighbours, Adam
sneaks off to save his dog Tara, which had been left behind on purpose. Lost in the desert,
Adam meets Walid, an abused boy forced to ride camels, who is on the run. Together they
struggle to survive the revengeful master from whom Walid has fled and the struggle of
the dessert. Although they cant understand each other with ingenuity and determination
the two boys put together their differences, helping each other to survive and learn what
true friendship is. Now who wouldnt want to read such an action filled, sad book that is
filled with such twists and turns. In Chinese Cinderella it is about a girl moaning of how
she has an unfair life, she doesnt even do exiting things unlike Camel Rider were they
Secondly Camel Rider has had many great reviews and awards. camel rider is an award
winning novel, based on Prue Mason's experience of life in the multicultural city of Dubai
in the 1990's. Also in 2005, camel rider won the Queensland Premier's Literary Award and
was a CBC Notable Book for Younger Readers. It is also based on the Arabian gulf. It is a
story of tragedy and hardship but filled with friendship. Also most people rate camel rider
4.5/5 while many rate Chinese Cinderella 2.5/10.
Also the book has a great setting. It is filled with a amazing dessert and it is very
authentic. It also ranges from city life to the hard life in the dessert. The characters are
also great and unique like Old Goat and Breath of Dog.
My story,
One day Walid from Camel Rider started riding his camel. While he was riding he gallops
past Chinese Cinderella who was going on about random things while Walid is being
chased by evil bedus and abductors. As you see there is such amazement in Camel Rider
compared to Chinese Cinderella. ?<
