JOB SUMMARY: Manage the day to day functions of assigned Early
Learning Division site(s).
CHILDREN SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for child
supervision and for keeping children safe.
Head Teacher
JOB SUMMARY: Assist the Site Manager in the management of
the day to day functions of assigned Early Learning Division site.
CHILDREN SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible
for the oversight of child supervision and for keeping children safe.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist the Site Manager in the
following areas: implementing best practices and NAEYC
Standards; supporting teachers to develop curriculums based on
screenings and assessments of children.
Creating and implementing positive climate, and support classroom
management.

Teachers are defined as the adult with primary
responsibility for a group of children. (NAEYC)
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for all educational
activities of the classroom, and to aid the Teacher
Assistant/Volunteers in their assigned duties.
CHILDREN SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for child supervision and for keeping
children safe.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for implementing the curriculum of the classroom, and
planning and writing weekly lesson plans.
Responsible for daily and monthly reports for designated classroom
(development and periodic review of individualized educational
plans for each child)
Maintain orderly classroom and keep equipment/supplies in good
condition. Implement individual profile and I.E.P.s as well as
lesson plans.
Responsible for room coverage at all times as well as maintaining a
safe indoor/outdoor environment, classroom management and
housekeeping.
Attend workshops, conferences, and in-service training when so
directed.
Assistant Teacher
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting in the
educational activities in the classroom, and to aid the
Teacher/Volunteers in their assigned duties.

Responsible for child supervision and for keeping children
safe.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist the teacher in the planning, implementing and
evaluating of the operations of the classroom and
educational related activities, developing individualized
educational plans.
Assistant Teacher
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor classroom attendance and follow-up. Maintain required
records.
Plan and arrange for all necessary teaching materials.
Work cooperatively with all staff in meeting all performance
standards.
Participate in the implementation of parent/staff training programs.
Assist in parent activities.
Attend parent and staff conferences , meetings, seminars,
workshops and training as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Teachers Aide
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting in the educational activities in
the classroom.
CHILDREN SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for child
supervision and for keeping children safe.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist the teacher in the planning, implementing and evaluating of the
operations of the classroom and educational related activities, monitor
Classroom attendance, assist in the planning, parent activities. And
arranging for all necessary teaching materials.

Family Services
Head Start Family Services provide the following to all
enrolled families through an assigned Family Worker:
Family Services
Family Service staff support parents and site staff at
monthly parent meetings.
Social Service Advisory Committee meetings are held
twice yearly (usually November & March). Staff and
parents are encouraged to come and meet social service
community agencies in our service areas and build
stronger relationships to assist our families.
Resource Books & Parent Handbooks are distributed and
reviewed with each family for needed resources and
information about the program. The Resource Books
provide current resource information about the services
available in the community. The Parent Handbook informs
families about Early Learning policies, procedures, and
information about services available.
