St.

Louis County Police Association

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
November 28, 2014
To All,
The men and women of the St. Louis County Police Association would like to express our deepest
gratitude to the countless citizens in St. Louis, the State of Missouri, and across the United States who
have expressed their support for law enforcement, in particular, those dealing with civil unrest in the
City of Ferguson and St. Louis Metropolitan region.
The law enforcement community in the St. Louis region has not waivered in the threat of danger, long
hours, unrelenting media criticism and the unique conditions of working directly in areas of civil unrest.
Every officer, civilian employee, and support staff member have poured their hearts and souls into
ensuring that the St. Louis region is safe. Most, if not every officer, was assigned to work shifts on
Thanksgiving and did so without hesitation. The time these dedicated public servants spent away from
their families was to ensure the citizens of the St. Louis area could safely enjoy time with their own
families.
Whether a prayer before bedtime or giving hand warmers to an officer standing in the cold, the
outpouring of public support has been undeniably strong. We have received letters of support and
donations from around the world and across the United States.
We continue to receive hourly offerings of financial donations along with offerings of food and supplies
to help support our mission of protecting life, property, and the unique freedoms we enjoy in the United
States.
Thank you again for your continued support of law enforcement and first responders in the St. Louis
Region and we hope you have a safe and peaceful holiday season.
Kind regards,
Gabe Crocker
President St. Louis County Police Association
