Subject: Job Application

Dear Ms. Emily Williams:

I am writing in response to the job advertisement posted online at www.Indeed.com. Would you consider
hiring me for the entry-level Biomedical Engineering Technician position available? Currently, I realize
that I dont meet all of the requirements necessary for the position as stated online, but I do believe my
skills and continuing education at the University of North Texas do make me a qualified candidate for the
position.
My education so far has given me a strong foundation in the field of biomedical engineering. Even though
I am only part way in completing my degree, which I will have in the Spring 2017, the future coursework
left on my degree contains diverse skills and knowledge that would benefit Massachusetts General
Hospital. My future experience with hands on training of medical equipment and instrumentation will be
extensive throughout my education here at UNT and I thoroughly enjoy working in this field. To add to
that, I have worked at a local pizza establishment for a little over a year to pay for my college education
and have gained great customer service skills and enjoy the fact that I can help out my community, even if
it is through a simple labor job like this one.
My resume provides further information about my education and work experience. I would enjoy the
opportunity to have an interview with you Ms. Williams and further discuss my qualifications and
resume. You can reach me at (469) 226-5298 or at AndrewBarnes@my.unt.edu.
Sincerely,

Andrew Barnes
