Why to buy a Growin Bag
Strawberry Growin Bags are an easy way to
produce strawberries for your growing season. Gardeners using the Growin Bag can tend their plants without bending over. Adding Growin Bags to your garden is decorative and practical.
How to setup your Growin
Bag
1. Lightly moisten your potting soil
2. Fill the bag with potting soil, leaving two inches of space from the top. (See figure 1.) 3. Press firmly on the surface to eliminate air pockets. 4. Lay the bag on a flat surface, and fold the top so that soil cannot spill 5. Secure the fold with tape to hold everything in.
1. Trim the roots to be about four to five inches if necessary. 2. Insert the plants into the precut T-slits. 3. Water thoroughly 4. Store excess plants in 3 inch pots or a cool environment. 5. Wait one to two weeks while plants take root.
How to prepare for growth
1. Unfold the top and hang the bag in a sunny area. 2. Add more potting soil and plant one or two extra plants near the top 3. Poke holes in the bottom of the bag using the ice pick to allow drainage 4. Apply water-soluble fertilizer (such as Miracle-GroTM) 5. Remove all but two or three runners per plant. (See picture above) 6. Preserve the removed runners. You can use them to replace the original plants in a year or two. 7. Water thoroughly every other day
