Community Service and Involvement

Boy Scouts of America (Troop 1853), Springfield, VA
KEEN of Greater DC (Eagle Scout Project)
- An organization that provides sporting events and exercise for children with mental and physical
disabilities.
- Raised money to purchase sports equipment for one of the programs events.
- Had to lead a group of scouts and scouters through multiple bake sales and donation events.
- Turned out to be a huge success that led to an abundant amount of supplies for the organization.
- Helped out in the event and has inspired me to continually help out.
Relay for Life (Springfield-Burke, VA event), West Springfield High School, VA
- A large and popular event in our area that is used to raise money for cancer. Mother is in charge of it
and the community is heavily involved.
- I help with the setup and running of the event every year, as well as participating in the running around
the track to raise money.
Christopher Newport Mens Lacrosse, Newport News, VA
CNU Lacrosse Mentoring Program
- I visit Riverside Elementary School in Newport News, VA every Thursday to meet with two of the
students.
- I eat lunch and go to recess with them and talk about school, behavior, and an abundant amount of
other topics.
- The students are assigned to me and do not change throughout the year. We try to be a big brother to
these younger boys who have at home or in school problems that require a male figure.

Work Experience
Interstate Moving/Relocation/Logistics, Springfield, VA
Summer Help and Mover (May 2014-July 2014)
- Provided manual labor for the moving company, where I gained a lot of experience with blue-collar

- Learned valuable lessons about the non-skilled workforce and teamwork that this type of work relies
on.
- Helped in the warehouses of the moving company and the moving trucks. 45 to 55 hour work weeks.
