Jacqueline Perez Child Development 258 September 30, 2014 Professor Hunter “Show and Tell” Show and tell is an amazing activity that promotes language Development. Teachers should definitely try this activity with their children but not every day. Maybe twice a year in the beginning and the end of the school year. | understand that Show and Tell can be conflicting at times because not every parent has enough money to be buying their child something that is expensive and nice. The teacher should talk to every parent to make sure their child brings something significant and affordable so there won't be'A6 problems. | believe every child has something that means a lot to them for example a blanket, a ball, a toy, a picture etc. As a teacher if | see a child that needé clothes, food or a toy to play or other things lke that, it’s my job to help the child so they can be okay and not feel less than others. Teachers can help every child that is presenting te feel better and more confident by having, the audience begin with a welcoming and friendly phrase and applaud after the presentation. Show and Tell is an effective and enjoyable activity for young Children. Teachers have to be able to introduce the activity the right way and make it a great experience for every child. RN : o
