Title of lesson: Apples and trees

Targeted Domain: Cognitive

Age of Children: 3 to 4 years

Goal: Children will learn how to count from 1 through 5


Objective: counting using one-to-one correspondence
Transition Plan: Teachers will read a book to the Children about math
Procedure: Teacher will make many trees and apples as youd like,
each trunk has to have a clearly printed numeral. Glue the trunk into the
base and cut out apples. After teachers are done creating the activity
children are ready to match the apples to the number of the trunks of the
trees.
Advanced preparation: Teachers will cut out the trees and apples and
number the trunks of the trees
List Materials: construction paper (brown, green, and red), scissors,
glue, and markers
Developmental Benefits: Cognitive and social-emotional
Future plans: Teach Children how write tree and apple
