I would like to apply for the Housing First Case Manager position with Western
Dairyland EOC Inc. advertised on indeed.com. I became interested in your
organization after coursework introduced me to the concept of Housing First. I have
attached my resume and feel that it highlights a rich educational background and
work history that makes me an ideal candidate for this position.
I am currently in my senior year in the Human Development and Family Studies
Undergraduate Program at UW-Stout with an anticipated graduation date of May 2015.
I am eager to contribute my abilities and experience to Western Dairyland and I
believe I could make a meaningful contribution.
Both my educational background and work experience have prepared me for this
position. As a Human Development and Family Studies major, I have had extensive
coursework to develop my awareness of issues faced by homeless and low-income
populations. As a Youth AODA counselor, I gained real world practice in case
management skills and counseling techniques. As an intern with Burkwood, I gained
experience working with at-risk populations as well as individuals with mental illness.
