Message from the Teacher
Students and Parents,
First, I would like to welcome you to my U.S. History class.
We anticipate an exciting and engaging school year as we
take a historical journey of the United States from the early
colonial period through Reconstruction.
We will discuss and analyze the political, economic, and
social events as well as issues related to the colonial and
revolutionary eras, the creation and ratification of the U.S.
Constitution, challenges of the early Republic, westward
expansion, sectionalism, Civil War, and Reconstruction.

Please review this brochure for class rules, expectations,

discipline, procedures, grading, and supplies. For any
questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me.
I am looking forward to teaching and inspiring my students to
take advantage of their educational experience at Peet JH.
