The student will demonstrate competency in a variety of fitness activities by performing the proper techniques for the exercises
chosen.

The student will demonstrate knowledge on how to perform the exercise by reading the name and viewing a picture of what the
exercise looks like. The student will demonstrate knowledge on what types of exercises get their heart rate up the most by finding their
heart rate and monitoring the rate at what it is beating.
Affective
The student will incorporate fitness into his or her own bored games at home or during indoor recess.

LESSON CONTENT & PROGRESSIONS
Set Induction
Today we will be playing two games that work on our fitness.
The first being Roulette and the second Monopoly. How many of
you have ever played monopoly? Today we are going to play
fitness monopoly. Does anyone have a favorite piece? Its a fun
way to get our heart rates up which helps us become physically
fit. Can anyone remind me what some of the components of
fitness are?
Instant Activity- Russian Roulette
The teacher will pair students up by the color of their shirts by
two. Space hula hoops around the gym and place two dice in
each hula hoop. Have each pair of students find their own hula
hoop. Each student will start with a dice and roll. The teacher
will have a list of 3 exercises on the board, the student who rolls
the higher number will choose one of the 3 exercises for the
other student to perform. Whatever the number on the dice is,
is how many reps the person should do. The highest roll will be
the number of reps the other student must do.
