1. For someone working in your field, please describe the fantasies versus realities of the job.
(fantasy vs. reality)
They say its going to be a really easy job but here I have so many job duties.
2. What is your current educational level? What continuing education and training are required?

I went to Everest and got a degree in medical assisting
3. Please describe the typical day to day activities of someone working in your field.
(day-to-day activities)
I answer phone calls, make patients appointments, check patients out, verify their insurances and I also
have done injections, check vitals, and set up for biopsies and other procedures.

4. How secure are you in your current position? What do you think is the future of your field?
(job security)
I plan to go back to school and become a nurse or maybe even a doctor. I havent decided yet.

5. What is a typical (average or lowest to highest) salary of someone working in your field?

Depends on what procedures and skills the assistant has, usually starts around $9 and increases from
there.

6. What potential for growth is there in your field?


(growth potential)
There is growth potential since many doctors need assistants to help with tasks they are too busy to do.

7. What do you enjoy about your job?


I love my coworkers, we get along and make the day go by easier. The patients are also very nice
and help this job be a little easier.

8. What do you not enjoy about your job?


I only dont like my job when I am sick.

9. Did you always want to be a medical assistant?


No, I actually wanted to do something in criminal justice.

10. If someone were to go into the same career field as you, what advice would you give them?
You have to stand out, achieve for something higher than just a medical assistant.
