Where Are We On The Food Chain?

1. Grab the bag of words from the box and pick out the titles of the four
categories: producers, primary consumers, secondary consumers,
and decomposers.
2. Sort the living organisms into the correct column based on their role in
the food chain.
3. After completing the sort, grab a worksheet from the box. You are
now going to use your knowledge of food chains to develop your
own food web.
4. You may use the pencils, pens, and markers in the box to help you.
Draw/label the living organisms that are a part of your food web. You
must add the arrows connecting your food web together.
(Remember the arrow flows where the energy goes)
5. You may use some of the living organisms from the sort, but you must
include your own as well.
6. Place the words back in the bag and put it back in the box when you
are finished. Leave your completed worksheet in the box.
NOTE: the definitions on the worksheet serve as a friendly refresher
