FORM AND MEANING IN CHILDRENS DANCE

EVALUATION OF INDIVIDUAL LESSONS

NAME: Stephanie Grubbs

DATE:11/11/2014

1. How were the objectives met? By the students both making shapes and naming them and by
the students making their own special shape.

2. Was the material too difficult? Simple? Uninteresting? Directions not clear? Explain. I think that
my material was not difficult enough for them because they were not as focused as they usually
are. There was much more moving and talking than there has been in the past.

3. How was the Lesson challenging to the students? They had to figure out how to make shapes
with their bodies. They also came up with their own shape that they named the weird blob of
2014.
4. What skills need additional practice? They still need to work some on their balance skills.
5. What students need particular attentionskill, social, emotion, etc.? I have one child that has a
very hard time paying attention and is always moving and almost never in the way that I want
him to. I have to keep an eye on him and keep him on task.
