TV VIEWING HABITS

How often do you watch TV each

day?
This graph shows that a
larger percentage of
boys only watch 1 hour
of TV a day where as
more girls watch 2 hours
of TV and only one of
each in the class watch
3 hours of TV.

What time do you tend to watch TV?

This graph shows that only
girls watch TV in the
morning and afternoon. It
then goes on to show that
only 1 girl watches TV in the
midevening whereas 3 boys
watch it then. 2 girls watch
it in the late evening
whereas double the
amount of boys watch it at
this time.

What channel do you regularly

watch?
This graph shows that 4 girls in
the class regularly watch the
channel E4 but only 1 boy does.
Also only 1 girl watches channel
4 and also SKY. 1 boy watches
Dave and 2 boys watch BBC
ONE. 1 girl watches BBC three
but also 3 boys do. This means
that girls and boys both enjoy E4
and BBC three and so they have
a wider range of audience.

Favourite Programme
I didnt create a graph for this as everyone likes to watch different programmes and
shows. The genres are al different as well. It wouldnt make sense to create a graph.
From the research we did, we found out that a large group of girls like to watch one
program, that is a rom com, whereas the boys in the class like to watch more action
and sci-fi programmes.

Passive or Active?
This pie chart explains that 3 quarters of
girls are passive compared to boys. It then
shows that two thirds of boys are active
whereas only one third of girls are.
This shows that more girls in the class are
believed to agree with what the TV tells
them to believe whereas the boys are
more argumentative and believe in what
they personally think is right and wrong.
It was more when TV was first created that
the majority of people were passive as its
new technology but now we have
developed and changed in the years
and people now have their own say in
everything.

Favourite Genre?
This graph shows that only boys in the
class enjoy watching action and
drama genres. Only girls enjoy fantasy
but both boys and girls both enjoy
comedy and sitcom.

evaluation
From creating this quantitive PowerPoint and asking the class what their TV viewing
habits are, I have learnt that the class all have a very wide range of viewing habits.
