1. Language Arts: Candidates demonstrate a high level of competence in
the use of English language arts. Candidates know, understand, and
use concepts from language arts, and child development to teach
listening, speaking, reading, writing, viewing, visually representing, and

10, Megan hasn't had a lot of experience with Special Education students or IEPs, but has
appropriately used accommodations for those students in the classroom.
12. Megan has seen and given several assessments during her student teaching. She’s done a
great job giving and analyzing the assessments. A next step would be adapting instruction from
these. She’s had limited opportunities to do this, but I know it will come in time, because I’ve
seen her grow so much alread!

‘Megan has done a great job in class this year. She is very organized, and takes time to plan and
prepare for her lessons. She addresses behavior in a respectful, consistent way. Any beginning,
teacher needs support to learn new curriculum, address behavioral concerns, learn procedures
hoo! and grade-level and have moral support in a difficult job!

I’ve only seen Megan teach second grade! I know she is interested in early childhood, and I see
her differentiate instruetion for different levels of second grade learners. 1 know she can be
successful because of the preparation and thought she puts into her work.

ve really enjoyed working with Megan this semester. She works very hard, and is dedicated to
teaching children. I can’t speak enough of her preparation, both in lesson planning and material
preparation, She is flexible and will to adapt and try new things. She has built good
relationships with the students and with other school staff, A lot has been thrown at her and
she’s responded with calm poise, Great job!
