Dear Future Coolest Engineers,

Here at Coolest Cooler price is our biggest priority, and we need YOUR help! As you
saw in the video, we have an awesome idea for a multipurpose cooler, but we would like
to make it more affordable for our customers. Thats where you come in, Coolest Engineers!
One problem we have encountered is that all the technology our cooler offers produces
too much heat and causes the temperature of everything in the cooler to rise. Using your
knowledge of physical properties of matter we need you to design us a better, more cool
cooler. Also, we think the cooler should be buoyant! We want you to work with different
volumes and densities in different solutions to see if you can make this happen.
The cooler you create will be a prototype for us to send off to our manufactures. Our first
Coolest Cooler prototype was a very basic model of the beginning stages of what we
have created today. We understand that it will be a work in progress. Your main priority
is to meet the requirements using the supplies we provide or whatever you decide to bring
from home.
On January 30, 2014 our board of designers will be coming to your class to see what
youve created. You will be asked to present a commercial for your cooler, and one winner will be chosen based on the completed requirements below. Your measurements will
be important for us to be able to mass produce your prototype cooler for worldwide distribution, so be sure to submit accurate measurements.
