Aryabhata was the first in the line of great mathematicianastronomers from classical age of Indian Mathematics. He was
born in the year 476CE and died in 550CE.

*
1. He gave the world the concept of
zero.
2. He found the approximate value of Pi and
discovered the basics of trigonometry.

3. He also found about the motion of the solar

system and calculated the eclipses.

Archimedes was a Greek mathematician,
physicist, engineer, inventor and astronomer

Archimedes was born in 287BC in

the seaport city of Sycrause, Silisy
in Greece.

*
He is well known for Archimedes principle, hydrostatics,
Archimedes screw, levers and infinitesimals.
He also proved that the area of a circle was equal to
multiplied by the square of the radius of the circle (r2).
In Measurement of a Circle, Archimedes gives the value
of the square root of 3 as lying between 265153
(approximately 1.7320261) and 1351780
(approximately 1.7320512). The actual value is 1.7320508.

Pythagoras was an Ionian Greek philosopher, mathematician,
and founder of religious movement called Pythagoreanism.
He was born in the year 570 BC in Samos, Greece.

*
His name was William Thomson. He was born in 1824 in
Belfast Ireland. He was a mathematical physicist and
engineer. He studied in the University of Glasgow.

*
He is known for many things such as Joule-Thomson effect,
Mirror galvanometer, Kelvin material, Kelvin wave, Absolute
Zero, etc.
The Kelvin unit of measurement is named after him. It is one
Of the seven base units in SI system. Its symbol is K.
The Kelvin is defined as the fraction 1273.16 of the thermodynamic
Temperature of triple point of water.
