E-BANKING OFFICER
(1 POSITION)
Tanzania Postal Bank (TPB) seeks to appoint dedicated, self motivated and highly organized
E-Banking Officer (1 position) to join the Directorate of Technology and Operations
The person
will be responsible to support the business growth , new products and services. The work
station is Dar es Salaam.
Reporting Line: Senior Manager E-Banking
Locations: Head Office, Dar es Salaam
Work Schedule: As per TPB Staff regulations
Salary: Competitive Remuneration

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To coordinate and drive all activities to deliver on all E- Solutions requests and mandates.
2. Liaise with other units to understand needs and drive Sales within department.
3. Ensure all E-Banking Channels are optimally utilized within area of responsibility.
4. Attend to all E-Banking Solutions requests and ensure customer is requests are resolved.
5. Develop and provide plans and reports of any channel to ensure turnaround
6. Interface with Internal and External vendors to achieve delivery targets.
7. Build strong collaborative interface with all clients and users of TPB E-Banking Products.
8. Produce Daily, Weekly and Monthly Performance, Status and Needs Reports for performance
monitoring and effective decision making.
9. Provide on-site visitation to all branches/major clients for supports purposes.
10. Have full working and support knowledge of the entire TPB E-Banking product range.
11. Identify and implement succession plans for all team members including yourself.
12. Training and awareness of electronic solutions products within the workforce
13. Create and sustain a team culture that encourages others to provide the quality of service

essential to high performance


14. Ensure priority is given to customers (internal & external) and delivery of high quality services
which meet their needs.
15. To manage changes and projects within your section ensuring that they are delivered on time,
to budget, to quality expectations and in compliance with changes policy, project best
practices, standards and methodologies.
16. Assist in performing business/user requirement analysis for e-banking systems and document
them to requirement definition reports.
17. Manage E-Banking associated risks by identifying, quantifying, documenting and escalating
issues that may lead to E-Banking non-availability.
18. Consistently analyze customers usage of e-banking products, working with marketing &
business development and Strategy & Planning directorates to increase usage of E-Banking
channels as well as improve user-friendliness of the products.
19. Support routine ICT tasks including Night Processing, systems users access administration,
regular ICT maintenance services and Standby Support.
20. Perform any other duties as may be assigned to you by Director of Technology & Operations
or higher authorities.

POSITION OBJECTIVE
1. To provide hands-on deployment and support expertise for all E-Banking Solutions to ensure
total customer satisfaction. This will involve the delivery of these solutions to meet predefined
time, cost, quality and quantity targets either via the management and coordination of internal
or external suppliers, contractors and vendors.
2. To provide hands-on deployment and support expertise for all ATMs and E-Banking Solutions
products such as Internet banking, Agency Banking Mobile banking, Point of Sales (POS),
Card Systems, Payments switches etc.
3. Ensures roll-out of developed innovative electronic solutions products such as mobile banking,
internet banking, e-collections etc. across country office for the delivery of electronic banking
products and services and provide support to branches and for managing provision of systems
and user support for all e-banking applications with a critical focus to meet user demands.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Education:

Minimum, Bachelors degree within Computer Science,


Information Technology, Telecommunication or a related field of
study.
Possession of Masters in Business Administration (MBA),
qualifications within finance, accounting, banking or background
in banking environment will be added advantages.

Experience:

Successful track record of active participation in technical


deployment projects.
Above 2 years experience in a similar high performance role
Minimum 2 years work experience in E-Banking deployment
