FORMAT Simplistic and easy to
understand due to the
description of what each rating
implied you were saying about
the program/activity you were
evaluating.
EFFECTIVENESS OF USE

LANGUAGE The ratings Early, Developing,


and Mature, are written in a
positive language stlye.
CATEGORIES PROVIDED I found the Evidence section
and opportunity on this tool
most helpful because this where
you can explain why you chose
the rating you did which is
important when revising a
program.
STAFF INVOLVEMENT

The differences between each


rating were very large and I
found myself wanting a rating
that was in between two of
them because neither fit the
description of what I was
evaluating so this cause lack of
accurate evaluations.

Not given a chance to the


evaluate the staff, even a little,
because the reasons for the
programs/activities high or low
ratings could be due to the staff
and or staff involvement.

PROGRAM ASSESSMENT
FORMAT The opportunity to abstain rating
an aspect is provided and I
believe that is a better option
than guessing a rating if you
dont know something well
enough.
EFFECTIVENESS OF USE Allows room for reflection in the
Action Plan section and what
the evaluator would do to
change an aspect if they gave a
low rating.
LANGUAGE Clear, precise, positive, and to
the point making it easy to rate a
program/activity fast and
accurately.
CATEGORIES PROVIDED Many more than just strictly
school related such as family and
health involvement that really
do effect the outcomes and
success of a child at school so it
important to evaluate those
aspects as well.
STAFF INVOLVEMENT A chance given to evaluate the
staff is important because the
reasons for the
programs/activities high or low
ratings could be due to the staff
and or staff involvement.
