AIM:
The main aim of this project is to build a system in which the signaling time at traffic
signaling junction will be controlled according to the availability of ambulance.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this project is to implement an automated system for clearing the traffic
for ambulances to help the people who met with accidents or the people who are in emergency
conditions without any disturbance or delay.
DESCRIPTION:
According to this project, it employs 3 sections, two are

placed at traffic signal

junctions and the other section placed in Ambulance. The section placed in the ambulance
contains 5 switches for the operations Emergency, Normal, out, direction 1 and direction 2.
So according to this project, whenever the ambulance is yet to reach a traffic signal
junction, the concerned person need to press the switches like Emergency / Normal priority and
direction 1 / 2 informing the direction and priority of ambulance reaching the signal junction.
The other section placed at traffic signal receives the information and takes the control action
according to the priority.
The communication between the sections is done using Zigbee technology. Each and
every section is designed around a microcontroller as a control unit. The Zigbee module is
interfaced to microcontroller.
