PLANNING PROPS

1) TOY PLANE
The toy aeroplane the young boy will be using
in my first few shots gets the audience to
associate the change in time setting. As
Sarah dreams of her perfect life the vision
begins to resemble that of a 1920s
housewife. The toy plane becomes
representative of this era as the audience
understand the changing in the technology of
childrens toys since that era.

2) KITCHEN KNIFE
The kitchen knife can be seen a more haunting
weapon in comparison to a firearm that
would kill instantly. The knife also goes to
suggest that Sarah is more normal than the
audience would expect, this challenges
original conventions expected by the
audience and therefore will cause shock
when Sarahs previous professional role is
revealed.

3) LEATHER GLOVE
The idea that the killer wears leather gloves
suggests to the audience that they are
experienced and know how to stay out of
suspicion. This provokes thoughts from the
audience as they guess who the killer could
be throughout the rest of the flashback which
forms the majority of the films plot.
