d) Letter from Organix Matters Inc.

Scott Boldt sent a letter advising of Organix Matters interesting in brokering
digestate from the Derby wastewater treatment plant, biodigester.
Staff directed to contact Scott to discuss possibilities.
6. Staff Reports:

i) Action Items Report
Bale chopper was trialed: 100 bales shredded in 6 hours. One area where
bales were too wet. The rest will be aerated.
Turbo repair was completed: This will now be the spare
Earth around the trees near the Biodigester tank: More earth removed
CH4 Alarms: Deferred
Over Pressure Alarms: Relays purchased
Quote to clean out smaller digestate tank was obtained: Completed
Alternatives to Maple Lodge Sludge: P&H not an option as product supply
very inconsistent

ii) New Infrastructure Funding Details
Under the Municipal Infrastructure Strategy, applications may be submitted for
road, bridge, water and wastewater projects. Infrastructure projects which
strengthen the local economy and create jobs will be considered if it can be
demonstrated that the projects fit within a comprehensive asset management
plan.
b) Finance: Treasurer Holly Morrison
i) Year-to-date Financial Statement
Treasurer Holly Morrison reviewed the revenue and expense report for the year
to date. The biodigester operating revenue comparison projected (as per
Genivar 2009) and actual report was also presented.

iv) Fertilizer value of digestate - $60,000 to $84,000 per year
v) April/May 2013: land approved for +/- 1800 m of digestate; there could be
2,100 to 3,000 m available
vi) Draft letter to area farmers
vii) Draft presentation to farmers for digestate disposal
Ross will prepare a table of the quality of digestate in the summer and fall. Also,
agenda and comment sheet for distribution that evening.
Potential haulers will be invited to the presentation, as well as Heather Pollard
from MOE and OMAFRA.
Meeting will be at Keady Arena on Tuesday December 11, 2012 at 7:30pm.

report on Wireless Internet for the Biodigester and authorizes the Payroll
Administrator/IT Coordinator for Georgian Bluffs to proceed with changing
internet service providers from Rogers to GBTel. Initial costs for the tower and
equipment installation will total $648.99. Monthly charges will amount to $45.00
per month, regardless of usage, with a maximum charge of $10.00 per month
for the static IP address. Costs will be funded through the reduction in
communication expenses.
