Our project is about how Oprah Winfrey was a Leader and left a Legacy by her show, how she

played in the movie the color purple. Oprah first started at a job at a radio station serving the
African American community in Nashville. This is how she first started connecting to her
community. The then made another outreach to the community after she was more famous and
she responded to the racism that was shown to Obama when he made one of his speeches.

Oprah Winfrey started as a little girl who had a rough life style growing up. She got a Job

Growing up she was a leader and role model to the people who also had a rough upbringing.

Oprahs culture and show brings out the best in her during her golden year and now as she gets
ready to retire from her show. The show also made her a different person, it made her a wellknown person by the whole world, and how that will leave her legacy. This is important to my
website because it talks about how she was a leader in media. It also talks about my three main

Oprah is perceived differently with black and white women. She also sometimes
perceived as a black-white woman because of the way she talks and acts to the white women on

Oprah is being inspired by a former store of hers. It talks about how Oprah Winfreys

reinventing herself as something else. She wanted to live her life now that her TV show is a great
hit and she has made an impact on so many people. She wants to focus on other things instead of
her show, and like every star, theirs just that time in life where its time to retire. This important

She had a career in Nashville at age 17, she worked as TV host for the news at age 19,
then moved to Baltimore as a co-anchor in 1997. She moved to Chicago to host another talk
show. Her personality and voice made herself a popular host. She then got her own show. This
