Mise en Scene

High key lighting - to make the characters look flawless and hide any
imperfections.
Grey lighting - creating the feeling of conflict along with the sound of the
thunder storm.
Old, posh road sign "Borough of Chelsea" - Conveys wealth and status as
"Chelsea" is the wealthy part of London.
Natural lighting in caf - suggests that have the time and ability to sit around
during the day in a caf. Suggesting wealth and high class.
Half of Jamies face being in a shadow - infers that he isn't telling the whole
truth.
Location of the Club - exclusive club that looks more posh than a normal
club that the audience would be used to seeing.
Dark/blue lighting in the club.
Expensive designer clothing conveys statues and wealth again.

Camera Work

Establishing shot of iconic places within London - shows the setting.


This conveys that the characters are wealthy, as they live in London. The
establishing shot also uses pull focus.
Mid shots are used through out to show expressions of the characters and to
also show off how they look.

Sound

Non-diegetic sound of thunderstorm - builds tension and expectancy of


conflict.
Starts with a question from Spencer asking about "Mitten" - The nicknames
convey wealth as they most likely got them at boarding schools - the
audience want the lives of these people.
Theme of infidelity and relationships.
Sound bridging to anchor shots of Spencer.
Music builds to a crescendo - so build pressure and intensity of the conflict.
