Cross-Pollinate Consulting Solutions and the Colorado

International Media and Communication Network

Seeking 2 interns for January thru May.
Seeking 2 students (can be BA or MA) for internship on communications for
social change and media development related projects.
Cross-Pollinate Consulting Solutions is a Denver-based small business that works on various aspects of
Program Development for international media and communications for development projects. Areas of
focus are monitoring and evaluation/research and learning, grant writing, event and conference facilitation.
The Colorado International Media and Communication Network (CIMCN) is a local meet up style group
that brings together academics, NGO practitioners, journalists, technologists, and other communications
professionals to discuss the intersection of technology and international development as well as the role of
media/ communication in social change. We meet once per month -- either in Boulder or in Denver. We
often meet at the Posner Center for International Development.
Internship would be to work with both Cross-Pollinate and with CIMCN on a variety of things -- social
media content generation, event planning, research, and helping to build out a community of practice
around media and communications for development in the Denver area. Possibilities to work with other
international organizations in the media/communications for development sector are possible and can be
facilitated.
Ideally, the 2 interns would work on the same days and would work as a team. I am looking for someone
who is interested in online research, someone who likes to follow trends and important issues in the media
and communications for development space at USAID, the US State Department and key NGOs. An
interest or background in M&E (monitoring and evaluation) would be great. I am happy to teach interested
applicants the ropes of logframes, logic models and doing M&E with NGOs. I am looking for people who
would like to help plan a monthly meet up series and get involved with speaker selection and promoting
the events and growing our community -- we currently have about 55 members. Finally, I am looking for
someone who is willing to write short blog posts or curate content of interest to CIMCN and CrossPollinate.
If you are interested, please send your CV and a recent writing sample to Susan Abbott -susanabbott1@gmail.com
Many thanks!
