Patriot District Diving Instructions

These are instructions for Team Parents and Dive coaches. This year the girls
will dive on Wednesday, 1/27 and the boys will be diving on Thursday, 1/28.
Please meet all deadlines and provide the information provided. Remember
this meet is run by volunteers and I need your assistance to run a good
meet.

1. Dive Volunteers.I need a list of all dive volunteers (with tee shirt
sizes) by Monday January 18, 2010. We have a volunteer for
announcer for both nights. Remember we need EXPERIENCED workers
and judges for the District Championships. I need the following
volunteers from EACH school.
a. 2 table workers per event (Wednesday and Thursday night)
1 judge for each event (Wednesday and Thursday night) We are
running a 7 judge panel if possible. Please indicate if judges have a
child diving and in which event. We are trying to have judges work
events in which they don’t have a diver if possible.
2. Dive Sheets: E-mail completed dive sheets to Bob McKinney
bobjenmac@cox.net no later than Sunday, January 24, 2010 at
12:00PM. Send ONE email with all sheets as attachments, the email
must also include a telephone number where the dive coach can be
contacted in case the sheets need to be corrected. Use the Dive
Verifier Program that was emailed to your swim coaches and parent
reps. It can also be downloaded from the following site:
http://diverline.com/DiveVerifierProgram.htm
This is an excel spreadsheet and you MUST enable the macros for it to
work properly. Divers and coaches are responsible for the accuracy
and completeness of the submitted dive sheet. Dive sheets must meet
all requirements specified in Rule 9.4. Dive changes will be permitted
until 30 minutes prior to the start of the dive event. Divers and
coaches must ensure that any dive change keeps the dive sheet in
compliance with all requirements specified in Rule 9.4.
3. Advancing to Regionals. A diver may advance to the Regional Meet
by placing 1-6 at the District Meet, scoring a regional qualifying
standard at the District Meet (Boys 296.44 and Girls 291.79) or
scoring 200 points at a regular season dual meet.
