Dear CDS First Program Family Members,

Happy New Year to all! We hope that every CDS FP members will be happy in 2015. We are
going to make every effort to take care of our students. We would like parents to trust and
cooperate with us.
We have several plans for this term. This letter contains general information, and we will
provide details of each event, prior to it happening.
We would like to inform you that there has been change of the FP Assistant.

New FP Assistant,

Heejin Park

Jiyeon Shim, the previous FP assistant, who did a wonderful job with us, was
transferred to the main office. We are happy to welcome Heejin Park as the new FP
Assistant, as of the start of Term 3. We will appreciate if you call her Ms. Park.

Please note that the next Parent/Teacher conference will be held in Term 5, May 15.

Plans for Term 3:

Jeoparbee

We are planning a Jeoparbee which helps students enhance their vocabulary

and teamwork. We have two Jeoparbees, and one of them will be held late
January or early February.

This upcoming Jeoparbee is only for students, but dont be disappointed. We

will invite parents for the second Jeoparbee. Please encourage them to learn
both consideration and praise for others (sportsmanship), and of course, their
vocabulary.

In-Service days (Jan 26, Mar 6 no school)

We believe that good teachers create good students. Therefore we try to

make a consistent effort to raise the ability of teachers. Also WASC evaluates
and checks what teachers do for classes and students. We have two In-Service
days during this term.
