Old Testament Theology Syllabus

2010

This class is designed to equip the student with skills and methods to study biblical theology of the Old
Testament. It is more project-oriented that lecture heavy. While there will be some class study or lectures, the
main emphasis of our time spent together will be discussing the development of the tools and the “how-tos.”

Biblical theology involves words studies, book studies, and subject studies in the various approaches the student
takes to study the OT. Therefore, we will spend time developing the skills in how to do these various kinds of
studies. See the syllabus below for an outline of our study together. Due to the nature of the class, we will not
meet every Thursday - especially toward the end of the class when the majority of the time is dedicated to book
and subject projects.
