Homework for the week beginning January 19

Mathematics: Choose any of the following options:

A: Do 40 minutes of Mathletics combined during the week. Focus on
Place Value.
B: Complete Unit # 17 Set 1 and Set 2.
C: Enrichment Do Set 3 as well if you are able.
Reading: You should be reading at least 2 hours during the week, or
30 minutes per night. Keep track of your reading in the reading log in
the back of your homework book.
UOI Curiousity
Choose an explorer and find out important information about him.
Use W5H to guide your questioning, i.e. who was he? where did he
live? where did he visit? etc.
Note - Use Reading Eggs to find an explorer if you are having
trouble finding something you can read.
English: Word Study: Use a dictionary to find out and write down
the meanings of the following words:
Astrlolabe, sextant, GPS, mast, rudder, keel, empire, colony, convert,
expedition, conquistador, caravel.
