WORKING PRINCIPLE
Cell

phone detector, also called Mobile phone sniffer .

It uses a simple principle that whenever a signal is received on an
a
ntenna,

it is converted to charge.
Sniffer circuit consists of an antenna which is used to receive a
signal.
Cell phone always keep looking for a strong signal present in
nearby area - thus transmitting information through signals every
time. This signal is detected by antenna of sniffer circuit which
feds signal to a detector.
The detector converts signal to charge which is then amplified.
This amplified charge is then again converted to a sound signal
which can be fed into a speaker.
Thus, whenever a mobile is near sniffer, speaker will generate
sound and cell phone can be detected.

MERITS AND DEMERITS

MERITS

Restrict the use of cell

phone in particular
area.

DEMERITS

Low range detector.

Mobile phone can
only be detected if it
is switched on and
ONLINE mode.

CONCLUSION
Sense

the presence of active cell

phones
Detect any activity of mobile phone
Tested area

FUTURE PLAN
To

detect cellphones which are even

switched off, metal detector is used.
Increase the range of sniffers.
