Section 3.2.2 of WESM Rules
Each market trading node defined under clause 3.2.2.1

shall:
Be associated with a revenue metering and remote telemetering facilities capable of measuring all relevant incoming
and outgoing energy deliveries for the purpose of dispatch
and settlement in the WESM;
The ex-post nodal energy price for each market trading

node shall be determined as the shadow price on the
energy balance equation or equivalent mathematical
formulation for that market trading node
If the connection point of the Trading Participant

could not be represented in the market network
model or if a particular market trading node
must be assigned to more than one Trading
Participant because the conditions set in clause
3.2.2.2 are not met, the affected Trading
Participants, the Metering Services Provider and
the Network Service Provider will mutually agree
on adjustments that will be implemented by the
Market Operator and the System operator.
Section 4.3.1.1 of WESM Rules
Each of its assigned market trading node has

LINE RENTAL COMPUTATION

Section 3.13.12 of WESM Rules states that
the Market Operator shall calculate the
necessary line rental trading amounts for
each participant
Section 3.13.1.1of the WESM Rules states
that the identified counterparty to the
bilateral contract with the supplier will pay
the necessary line rental trading amount

WHAT IS LINE RENTAL?

The economic rental arising from the use of a
transmission line, calculated as the difference in
value between flows out of the receiving node of
that line and flows into the sending node, in
accordance with clause 3.13.12.
The line rental fee is then passed onto the
customer and included in the total trading amount.
In order to ensure that true competition of
electricity takes place, the line rental fees should
be transparent.

WHAT IS LINE RENTAL?

The positive value of line rental will be included
in the computed total trading amount of the load.
Negative Line Rental amount, however, simply
indicates a significant nodal price separation
between the generator and the bilateral party
(load).
The negative line rental will be deducted from
the total trading amount of the load.

Forecast monthly Energy requirements of VRESCO.

Every 24th day of the month, VRESCO submits to KSPC
Monthly Energy Requirements based on BCQ.
Forecast of BCQ of PSALM every 24th day of the month.
Daily nomination of BCQ Nomination of GCGI.
Daily monitoring of RTD Price thru
https//:mmswesm.ph.
Daily monitoring of Energy Trading Situation.

DAILY ACTIVITIES OF VRESCO TRADERS
0730 1400 HOURS: Retrieval of ex-ante and ex-post price of

Spot market thru participant interface for the previous day up
to 1400H current day.
WESM submits to VRESCO log sheet data of previous day on or

before 1400H. This is the hourly meter reading on six metering
points.
Review previous energy consumption of VRESCO per metering
point.
Forecast VRESCO Energy requirement for the following day per
metering point.
Review and compare WESM previous prices from KSPC, GCGI
and PSALM, if VRESCO has to buy from the Spot Market or not.
Monitor if Power Generator submits their confirmed BCQ (D-1),
actual delivered (D), and BCQ Declarationj (D+1).
1430H Final forecast of BCQ
Final forecast of energy requirement from Spot.
