SCENE 1: FLASHBACK/ BLACK AND WHITE BACKGROUND

Raining and Thundering, Showing a cave in the middle of the

woods, a dark figure approaches with a dead carcase over his
shoulder, he puts it down and then backs off, you see yellow
eyes appearing out of the cave then a tip of a dogs nose....

Across town a middle age man is coming home after a hard days
work, he is wearing a business style suit with a suitcase
that has the words councilman on the name tag, just when he
goes to put his key in the door he hear’s something in the
bushes, he looks over but it doesn’t phase him so he proceeds
to open his door when suddenly some huge furry animal jumps
out and grabs him. Next you only see him being dragged into
the woods by some creature that you cannot see and him
yelling for his life. Suddenly he is in a clearing and all
you see is a paw and claws scape his face, what is left is a
paw print in the ground and some blood on a nearby tree.

Back at the man’s house the police are questioning his wife,
on behalf that her husband has been missing for a couple of
hours and all she found was his briefcase on the porch and
claw marks on the door when she came home after work.

OFFICER 1
When did you notice he was gone,
ma'am

WIFE
I came home and his briefcase was
on the porch and claw marks on the
door (scared, crying tears in her
eyes)

Meanwhile a bunch of college kids around a camp fire, having

a good time drinking and listening to loud music. Pan over
to two of them having a good time and excuse themselves from
the rest of the crowd.

BOY 1:
Come on, I have a surprise for you

Both of them go into the woods away from the camp fire and
start to make out against a tree.

GIRL 2:
No, you know I want to wait

BOY 1:
But, we have been together for 3
years now and you know...

BOY 1: (CONT'D)
all the guys are bragging and I
don’t want be the one that
hasn’t......

GIRL 2:
I don’t care, I want to wait

The boy gets frustrated and pushes away the girl and heads
back to the camp fire while the girl stays there all confused
and frustrated. Suddenly she hears foot steps and a stick
breaking in the distance, she calls out!

GIRL 2: (CONT’D)
Hello.... Jason is that you?.....

She hears a growl and you see her running in fear of

something running after her in the woods, screaming in the
background. She runs, trips over a log, gets up and hides
behind a tree. The creature finds her and slashes out to
her, Flash!!! Mike sitting on a log holding the girls sweater
and a gun half cocked, tears in his eyes. Faint screaming
in the background. Suddenly you hear “Dad.... Is everything
OK” in the distance, Mike hides the gun, “Yes,
honey....everything fine” Bell rings

SCENE 2: INT. CLASSROOM, HISTORY PROFESSOR TALKS TO HIS KIDS

ABOUT A UPCOMING ASSIGNMENT ABOUT NATIVE FOLKLORE LEGENDS.

PROFESSOR LASKEY
All right, Last week we were
discussing Native American
folklore. For your next assignment
I want each of you to pair up and
do a field study on different
legends in the North and South west
area. I will be out of town in the
next week, I have to go to my
sister’s wedding.

Gets papers out of briefcase, everybody in the class is

excited.

PROFESSOR LASKEY (CONT’D)

This assignment will be half your
overall grade this year, so I
expect great things from you,
especially you (Stares at a kid in
class)...Kevin!!!

The class pairs up and the Professor hands out the sheets

Josh and Sara, How did I know you
will be together.

Professor Laskey, hands out the other sheets.

Josh looks at the assignment and gets an idea

JOSH
(looks at Sara) Hey, why don’t we
go to this place and find out more.

SARA
I don’t know?, I think that we
might be better off here.

JOSH
What are you afraid of.....

PROFESSOR LASKEY
(Looks startled and stares into the
paper)

JOSH
Professor......Professor.....

PROFESSOR LASKEY
(Shakes his head) I’m sorry Josh,
What were you saying?

JOSH
Sara and I was thinking on checking
out this place, is that alright
with you?

PROFESSOR LASKEY
(looks concerned) Yes... Yes its
ok.... (Pauses) Josh!

Josh looks back

PROFESSOR LASKEY (CONT’D)

Take my advise, just be careful...
Oh, when you get there, let Mike
know that I am sorry....

Gets a card out of his briefcase and write something on it.

He writes a phone number on a business card... Then runs back
to his office

JOSH
(Looks concerned) Professor!...

JOSH
I don’t know?, This is great a
whole week alone (hugs sara)

SARA
(giggles) I don’t think so buddy
boy, remember when we went camping
last summer?

JOSH
Yes, but this time I will be more
careful!!

SARA
OK, just remember we have an
assignment to get to.

JOSH
Yeh yeah yeah....

Meanwhile, Professor lackey is rushing back to his office,

picks up the phone, calls mike

PROFESSOR LASKEY
Mike are you there?

JENNIE
No this is Jennie?

PROFESSOR LASKEY
I’m sorry sweetheart, is your dad
there?

JENNIE:
DAD!!!!!

MIKE
Who is it.

JENNIE:
Its some Professor dude?

Mike rushes to the phone

MIKE
Chris, how the hell are you doing,
I haven’t seen you in.....(gets
interrupted)

PROFESSOR LASKEY
Mike, just listen to me, two of my
students are coming to town, please
don’t let them know about you know
what!

MIKE
(looks startled) Yeah, I know

PROFESSOR LASKEY
And Mike, I’m sorry!!!

MIKE
Yeah I know, I’m sorry to

Both hang up the phone with a puzzled look on their face.

Professor Laskey mumbles to himself, goes and gets out a

piece of paper, writes down “Mike, I explained everything in
this note of what happened a year ago, please forgive me but
I cannot live in secret anymore.... I’m Sorry” gets a gun out
of his desk, cocks the trigger, holds it up to his mouth and
BANG!

(Fade Out)

SCENE 3:

INT. HIGH SCHOOL HALL WAYS A COUPLE OF BULLIES ARE PICKING ON

JENNIE, WHILE SHE IS TRYING TO GO HOME AFTER SCHOOL

BULLIE 1
(pushes her books down) Your dad is
the freak isn’t he

BULLIE 2
(laughing and giggling)

JENNIE:
Leave me alone!

BULLIE 1
No, not until you admit your dad is
a freak!

JENNIE:
Stay away from me if you know what
is good for you.....

BULLIE 1
Oh, yeah!

He kicks her books around then walks away.

Jennie runs outside in tears, she stops at the end of the

road and then starts walking away while reading a note from
her guidance counselor that reads

“Dear Mr. Hughes:

It seems that your daughter is experiencing delusional

outbursts in class and is suffering with extreme depression,
I suggest a meeting with you and Jennie to discuss an
alternative education for your daughter. I have sent this
letter home with your daughter to give to you so it is
imperative that you call me as soon as possible.

Thank you for your consideration.

Mr. Shively

Middleton High guidance counselor. “

Jennie throws the letter away into the woods.

JENNIE:
I’ll teach them... I’ll teach them
all.

She then proceeds to walk into the woods where she can be
alone for the rest of the day.

SCENE 4: EXT. QUIET TOWN IN NORTHERN MICHIGAN, JOSH AND SARA

START THERE JOURNEY

Car drives up in a quiet town, two people get out, one girl
and one boy.

SARA
Wow, what a great town!

JOSH
Yeah, This will be perfect to find
what we are looking for...

Pauses for a minute to get their bags out of the car.

JOSH (CONT’D)
Why don’t you check into the hotel
while I get the bags.

Sara goes into the hotel, pauses for a minute to look over at
a strange character on her right, a young girl who looks
strangely at Sara

SARA
Lets just get to our room that girl
is freaking me out

JOSH
What girl?... (looks over) Hey get
out of here (shouts at the girl)

The little girl runs off

JOSH (CONT’D)
Hey Sara, Help me with this bag

Sara goes over to Josh to help him.

Both of them get their bags and enter the hotel for the night

SCENE 5:

Hotel Interior

JOSH
(Rings Bell) Hello, Anybody here

Hotel patron comes out

HOTEL OWNER
Good Afternoon, will there be two
of you tonight?

JOSH
Yes, its just the two of us

HOTEL OWNER
Good, Just fill out this card and
I will get your key

JOSH
Hey, do you know anything about
this?... (shows him the assignment
paper)

HOTEL OWNER
(Pauses but looks reserved) I don’t
know what you are talking about...
I suggest you never talk about it
again. Here is your key

The hotel patron goes into the back and never comes out again

JOSH
Hmmm, that was weird

What was weird

JOSH
Noting, lets get to our room.

SCENE 6:

INT. HOTEL ROOM AT NIGHT

JOSH
Did you noticed anything weird
about the people in this town?

SARA
Now that I think about it, people
here, don’t seem to like outsiders.

JOSH
That’s what I was thinking, I’m
going to the front desk to get some
towels, I will be back later.

As Josh heads up to the front desk an strange woman

approaches the room and knock’s on the door. Sara checks the
keyhole and opens the door..

STRANGE WOMAN
I hear you kids are here to find
something about what happened!

SARA
What happened? What do you mean?

STRANGE WOMAN
I suggest you go to library in the
morning and find a newspaper
clipping in the “W” section.

The strange woman walks off.

SARA
Wait!!!!!

Josh shows up.

JOSH
Who was that?

I don’t know, she just came up to
the room and said we should check
the library tomorrow.

SCENE 7:

EXT. HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT

Mr Shively is walking over to his car when suddenly he hears

something in the woods, suspecting a couple of kids playing a
prank he goes over to investigate.

MR. SHIVELY
Hello, you kids get out here now!

Suddenly you hear a growl nearby and then you see Mr Shivley
being dragged across the forest floor then get thrown up
against a tree. With his bloodied up face he barely sees a
silhouette of a creature and a dark figure in the distance
looking at him. All of a sudden a arm comes out and slashes
at him, he lies dead on the ground and the creature drags him
off in the distance.

Fade out.

Fade In.

INT. LIBRARY REFERENCE SECTION NEXT DAY

Josh and Sara looking through old newspapers and books

JOSH
Nothing, I can’t find anything in
these books

SARA
She said what we are looking for,
we will find here.

JOSH
Hmm, you keep looking I’m going
across town to find another source.

SARA
Ok, I will let you know if I find
something.

SCENE 8:
 10.

EXT. BOOK STORE

Josh comes out while Sara runs across the street to meet him

SARA
Did you find anything?

JOSH
Nothing, I swear, I get the feeling
that we were not meant to find
anything. You?

SARA
I found this newspaper clip dated
three years ago, it states that
there were two murders that
happened, a Town councilman and a
young girl. It seems that a
creature was the cause of the
murders.

JOSH
A creature, do you think its the
same one we are looking for?

SARA
Seems like it, the call it “The
Dogman”, it says it has the
features of a dog and it can stand
7 feet tall with razor shark teeth
and claws.

JOSH
Really?

SARA
Yes, but the rest of the story is
missing, seems it was torn out.

Josh looks at Sara confused.

Suddenly the little girl shows up around the corner and looks
strangely at both of them

SARA (CONT’D)
Hey, that girl is back

Both Josh and Sara run after her, The finally end up in an
alley

JOSH
(out of breath, grabs the girls
arm) Why are you following us?

JENNIE
Hey get your hand off of me....

JOSH
Not until you tell us why you were
following us

Jennie free herself and runs off

JOSH (CONT’D)
Hey!!! (Runs after Jennie and Sara
follows)

SARA
Did you find her

JOSH
No!! She ran off again.... (looks
around and shrugs his head) Lets
get back to the hotel.

Jennie, jumps out in front of Josh and Sara and scares them

JENNIE:
Sorry, but you scared me back
there.

JOSH
Why were you following us back
there?

Jennie looks at Sara then back at Josh but stays quiet

JOSH (CONT’D)
So, why were you following us.

SARA
Give her some time Josh

JENNIE
(looks at Sara) I’m sorry but you
remind me of somebody I once knew

SARA
What do you mean?

Jennie runs off

JOSH

SARA
That was weird.

SCENE 9:

EXT. NEXT MORNING IN FRONT OF HOTEL

Josh and Sara wait patiently for Jennie to show up

JOSH
Where is she? She said she will
meet us out front....

More time goes by.

JOSH (CONT’D)
What time did she say she was
meeting us?

SARA
I don’t know, but I don’t have a
good feeling about this.

Jennie shows up with her backpack and hops into their

vehicle.

JENNIE
So, Are we going?

JOSH
Going where? I thought you were
going to tell us why you were
acting weird yesterday.

JENNIE
I will explain on the way there

JOSH
On the way where?

JENNIE
Trust me!

Josh looks at Sara and closes Jennie’s door

JOSH
I don’t trust her

SARA
Lets just go with it, it might
explain why there is such a cover
up in this town

SCENE 10:

INT. TRUCK HEADING DOWN A COUNTRY DIRT ROAD OUT OF THE TOWN

Josh, Sara and Jennie talk while they take Jennie out to
whereever she is taking them

JOSH
So where are you taking us?

JENNIE
(looks at Sara) I love that outfit,
where did you get it

SARA
Thanks, I picked it up at A/E

JOSH
Sara!!!!!

SARA
What? We are just talking

JOSH
(gets more agitated) So little
girl.......

JENNIE
I have a name!!!

JOSH
Ok, what’s your name?

JENNIE:
Its Jennie.

OK, Jennie, where are you taking
us?

JENNIE
Just stay on this road, my dad will
explain later

JOSH
(act surprised) Your dad?

JENNIE
Yeah, you got a problem with that.

Josh just strugs his shoulders and goes along

JENNIE (CONT’D)
Turn on the next road.

The truck turns on the next road and then they stop on the
side.

JOSH
Ok, spill!

JENNIE
The reason I was being all weird is
because your girlfriend here looks
like my big sister that went
missing a year and half ago.

JOSH
Went missing, what do you mean?

JENNIE
It’s probably better if my dad
explains.

JOSH
Wait...

JENNIE:
Were here!.

All three get out the car and Sara grabs Josh and pulls him
over to the side

SARA
(Acts scared) What does she mean
“missing”?

us to her dad

SCENE 11: OUTDOOR CABIN OR HUT

Josh, Sara and Jennie go inside to talk to Jennie’s dad.

MIKE
Jennie, who are your friends

JENNIE
This is Josh and his girlfriend
Sara

JOSH
Your daughter said you might help
us....

Pauses

MIKE
Help, how do you mean?

JOSH
Your daughter hear says you know
why everybody in town is giving us
the cold shoulder.

MIKE
I don’t know what you mean, I
suggest you go..... Now!

JOSH
Wait!

Mike escorts them outside and then slams the door.

JOSH (CONT’D)
What the hell?

Josh, tries to bang the door down then walks back to the car
all frustrated.

SARA
Josh.... (puts her hand on his
shoulder)

JOSH
Get in the car!

The both get in the car and drive off but only to the end of
the driveway. Meanwhile inside Mike’s house.

MIKE
Why did you bring them here (in a
frustrating voice)

JENNIE:
But dad, I think they might know

Mike paces back and forth, then finally get his gun.

MIKE
Jennie, you stay here

JENNIE:
Dad!

MIKE
No, Stay, for your own good. Please
stay

Mike heads out to his truck, gets in and drives off into
town.

Josh, sees mike drive off and then follows him into town but
keeps good distance.

SCENE 12: INT COFFEE SHOP, RESTAURANT

Mike drives up into town and heads into a coffee shop. While
Josh and sara follow him.

WAITTRESS
Hey mike... (walks over) the usual

MIKE
(looks up all scared.. Hesitates)
yeah

WAITRESS
You all right mike.

MIKE
I will be fine, just my coffee
please.

Josh and Sara show up and then proceed to sit down at Mikes
table.

JOSH
So, you going to tell me why you
ran off like that.

WAITRESS
Hey, who are you

MIKE
They are ok, their with me.

JOSH
So.

Mike drinks his coffee then proceeds to tell them a story.

Flashback during story.

MIKE
Ok, swear you won’t tell anybody
this, it all started about 20 years
ago, Chris and I grew up in this
town. There was a old Indian that
both of us used to go to his house
to see what trinkets he used to
sell to the locals but the strange
thing was that he would recite some
strange phrase everytime he made
one of these trinkets. One day he
caught us looking in his window
while he was making these trinkets
and told us that the one he was
working on has magical powers to
control a creature that would come
out only at night, that looked like
a dog but stood upright like a man,
but in a poof of light he vanished.
Chris and I were scared and started
to run but I hesitated and took the
necklace. A few years went by and
I thought why not give it a try as
the Indian suggested. Everytime,
the creature would come out and we
found that it would do anything we
commanded. Both of us kept it a
secret up until a year and half
ago. This is when the whole cover
up took place. The local
councilman came up to my house and
demanded to foreclose because of
back taxes, I was laid off that
same year and fell behind in
payments. So in panic I called
Chris and we both tried the
necklace again.
(MORE)

MIKE (CONT'D)
Sure thing, the creature came out
and killed the councilman, but
something went wrong, my oldest
daughter was out camping with
friends and that night the creature
went rouge and accidently killed
her and her friends. The next day
everybody in town got together and
decided to keep it a secret so the
media would not get out of hand and
Chris and I swore to destroy the
necklace but we found out
otherwise, everytime we tried to
get rid of it, the necklace would
come back to us so I took the
responsibility and kept in a safe
place so nobody would find it.

JOSH
So wait a minute. You knew Chris
Laskey.

MIKE
Yeah, we were childhood buddies,
why?

JOSH
He is our professor

MIKE
So you are the ones that he told me
about.

SARA
Told you about what.

MIKE
Listen, I told you what happened,
you guys are in danger if you stay.

SARA
Danger, what do you mean danger, I
thought you said that thing that
controls the creature is safe.

MIKE
It is but if that thing goes rogue
again, there is no telling what it
might do.

JOSH
So where is the necklace now?

MIKE
Hidden at my house.

JOSH
So why don’t we go get it and then
destroy it.

MIKE
Haven’t you heard a word I said, it
cannot be destroyed, please for the
sake of my daughter, don’t ask me
to go get it, and please don’t go
look for that thing.

JOSH
(looks reserved) Can you excuse me
for moment.

Josh takes Sara outside to talk

JOSH (CONT’D)
This is perfect for our project, we
go out to the woods, get this
creature on film.

SARA
I don’t know Josh, I think that we
should listen to Jennie’s dad

JOSH
You’re not scared, are you?

SARA
No... I just think....

JOSH
We will be out there for a couple
of days, I have everything under
control

The two of them go back in and discuss their plans with Mike

JOSH (CONT’D)
I think that we should be going,
have to get back to the hotel

MIKE
Just remember, please don’t go out
into the woods at night

JOSH
Ok

Josh and Sara go back to the truck and drive off.

Mike finishes his coffee and then drives off home.

SCENE 13: BACK AT MIKES HOUSE

MIKE
Jennie, are you home

JENNIE:
(comes around the corner and scares
her dad) I’m right here dad

MIKE
(jumps) Oh, there you are, If those
two come back here please let me
know ok,

JENNIE:
Ok, I’m going out to play

MIKE
Don’t be to long, its getting dark

Jennie goes out to the woods to play.

Meanwhile, in a panic, Josh drives off while discussing what

the two of them are going to do.

JOSH
Ok, here is the plan, we will get
back to the hotel, gather our stuff
and head out into the back woods

SARA
I don’t know, I still think that we
should be prepared and use the
advise of Mike

JOSH
We will be, I have everything
planned. Besides, I think they were
trying to scare us

Suddenly something runs out in front of them, Josh swives off

the road.

JOSH (CONT’D)
What was that?

SARA
I don’t know

Both of them get out of the truck to check it out

JOSH
What ever it was, its gone now

The get back into the truck and drive off

SCENE 8: BACK AT THE HOTEL

JOSH
Ok, do we have everything: tent,
flashlights, food, rain ponchos....
Yep that’s everything

SARA
Josh, what’s this

Sara pulls out a handheld gun out of Josh’s backpack

JOSH
For security purposes (puts the gun
back in)

SCENE 14: BACK OUT IN THE WOODS, THE TRUCK PULLS ONTO A SIDE
ROAD OR SEASONAL ROAD (DUSK)

Both Josh and Sara get out and gather their things and
venture off on the trail into the woods

Meanwhile back at Mike’s house, Jennie tells her dad that

Josh and Sara went out into the woods

JENNIE:
Hey dad, Those people that were
here went out into the woods

MIKE
(Panically) Are you sure?... I have
to warn them

Picks up his rifle and leaves the cabin

MIKE (CONT’D)
Stay here, I will be back soon

Mike gets into his truck and drives off, but Jennie doesn’t
stay she goes up stairs then comes down with a bag and then
heads out to the woods.

Meanwhile, Josh and Sara are on a trail trying to find where

this allege creature is hiding where they come across a
dwelling/cave with old Native American trinkets and charms
around the entrance.

SARA
Hey Josh, look at this

Josh goes over to Sara and grabs a piece of bone with one
name etched in it, “Shivley”

SARA (CONT’D)
What do you suppose this means?

JOSH
I don’t know but I can think of
someone who might.

SARA
Mike?

JOSH
Yeah, I think he has something to
do with this.

Suddenly they hear foot steps and a twig snapping in the

distance. Both of them look around.

JOSH (CONT’D)
Let’s get out of hear and I don’t
want to be around when that thing
comes back

The both continue on down the trail, while Jennie comes out
from behind a tree and goes to the entrance of the
dwelling/cave. She picks up the same bone and then throws it
down.

JENNIE:
(In a mean voice)
Why where they here?

She gets out the necklace from her bag and proceeds to do a
ritual.

Fade out.

SCENE 15:
 23.

EXT. WOODS NIGHT

In a clearing you see a vehicle blaring loud rap music and a

smoked filled cabin. Two Kids are smoking up a field
discussing what kind of things they can do for the night when
suddenly one of them hears a scratch at the door and window,
he looks out and sees a the Dogman looking inside and
grinning showing all of his teeth. He then looks back and
looks at his friend in the drivers seat.

BULLIE 1
(all stoned up) Hey man, where did
you get this stuff

BULLIE 2
(Nearly gone) Huh!

BULLIE 1
I just say the coolest thing, there
was this dog dude looking in at us,
I think he wants to join us

The other guy is gone, just looking at the ceiling of the

car.

BULLIE 1 (CONT’D)
Dude, what are we going to do
tonight.... (pauses)

BULLIE 2
I don’t know, lets go get something
to eat.

The both drive off and the dogman heads off into the woods
again.

SCENE 16:

BACK TO JOSH AND SARA ON THE TRAIL

SARA
How much further?

JOSH
Not too much further, then we will
stop for the night

Both of them come upon a river down a hill

Why don’t we take a break here
while I scout the area.

In the distance a pair of eyes peeks at both of them

Sara looks over but finds nothing.

SARA
Josh!!!!

JOSH
Yes...

SARA
Where are you?

JOSH
Up here,

SARA
I think that we are being watched?

JOSH
Don’t be silly, there is nothing
out here except a helpless deer,
don’t tell me you are afraid of a
helpless deer

Sara hits Josh in the arm.

Josh and Sara come upon a clearing and set up camp, in the
distance a pair of eyes are looking at the suspecting campers
with intrigue. Josh looks up, looks around...

SARA
What is it?

JOSH
Nothing, I thought I heard
something. I’m going to get some
fire wood, be right back

Josh goes off to get some firewood while Sara finishes up

with the camp. Enter dogman, his eyes are watching Sara
then over to Josh. Noises in the trees in the distance

SARA
Josh is that you?

Sara Looks the Other way

SARA (CONT’D)
Josh!!!....... Josh.... Where are
you

Suddenly Josh jumps out behind a bush and scares Sara. Josh
laughs hysterically.

SARA (CONT’D)
Don’t do that, you scared me

JOSH
Why, is someone scared of the big
bad wolf......

SARA
Its the dogman, you jerk!!!

JOSH
Oooo, Dogman, sorry!! Besides you
have to me to protect you

SARA
Yah

JOSH
Yah!

Josh grabs Sara and they go inside the tent to make out.

SCENE 17: WOODS NIGHT

The two of them passionately make out when suddenly a sound

of a stick is snapped in the distance.

SARA
What was that?.....

JOSH
I don’t know....

Josh goes outside to check it out.

SARA
Honey, don’t forget your flashlight

Josh heads out to find out what that noise is when suddenly
you hear a scream, yelling and growling in the distance.

SARA (CONT’D)
Honey!..... Josh..... Josh is this
a joke.... Josh please answer
me.... Josh.......

Sara goes out to find josh, when she gets further from camp
all she finds is some pieces of clothing and dog prints in
the ground but no josh.

Sara yells out!

SARA (CONT’D)
Josh!!!!!!!!!! Please yell out to
me........ JOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meanwhile a couple of miles away Mike hears the yelling and

goes to find out what happened.

Mike shows up and finds dog prints in the ground, scratches

on the tree and Sara crouched against the tree crying.

MIKE
Hey, are you alright.... What
happened here?

SARA
You....

Sara frantically hits mike over and over yelling and crying

MIKE
Its ok, its OK... calm down

SARA
(still crying) you did this, didn’t
you.

MIKE
What!!! No, I didn’t have anything
to do with it, I’m out her to stop
the Dogman from killing again.

SARA
Then who is controlling it this
time.

MIKE
I don’t know but I think we will
find out soon enough. Come lets go
back to my cabin.

SCENE 18: INT. MIKES CABIN LATE NIGHT

Mike makes coffee for the two of them.

MIKE
Sara, please tell me exactly what
happened.

SARA
Josh and I were going to sleep when
we heard something outside, when he
went out to find out I heard
yelling and screaming then nothing.

MIKE
I guess there is only one thing to
do.

Mike goes up stairs to his room to look for the necklace but
cannot find it also Jennie is missing.

Mike runs down stairs to the phone to call his friends who
happen to be hunting a mile down the road. Phone rings!

MIKE (CONT’D)
Hey Brian, get the boys together
and meet me here in 5 minutes

BRIAN
Why, what’s the matter?

MIKE
Just get here, I’ll explain
everything.

Brian and the others show up.

Mike explains everything

BRIAN
So, what’s going on?

MIKE
Its happening again, the creature
struck, also my baby girl is
missing.

BRIAN
Seriously?..... (sweating)
Shit...... Alright boys let go

They gather their guns and head out into the woods to hunt
down the Dogman. After a couple of hours gone by, Sara get
worried and decides to venture out into the woods by herself
to find out what happened and to find Josh.

Sara rushes out the door but in the distance, she does a
double take out in the corner of her eyes and thinks she sees
a cloaked figure in the distance. But nothing is there when
she looks directly at it. Sara shrugs her shoulders and then
heads out in to the woods.

SCENE 19: EXT WOODS NEW DAY, SARA SEARCHING FOR JOSH AND THE
OTHERS

Sara finds scratches in the trees around her but no sight of

Mike or Josh

Suddenly the Dogman comes out from the trees, Sara Hides in a
bush until he passes by.

Sara’s heart is pounding, her breathing is getting heavier as

the Dogman comes closer. The Dogman, stop suddenly, sniffs
the air around him and then goes one way, stop then goes the
other way.

Sara waits until he is out of sight then runs the opposite

direction but the Dogman sees Sara running and goes after
her.

Both of them running Sara finds a tree to climb, the Dogman

is still running after her. While Sara is in the tree the
Dogman stops and looks around but cannot find Sara anywhere,
he sniffs around the air but still he cannot find anything so
he lets out this big scream and howl then ventures off in the
distance. Sara Lets out this big breath and then climbs down
the tree, while she does this she comes across some piece of
clothing, a shirt that josh had on when he went missing, She
picks it up and find a footprint in the ground and another
one and another one going off to the right. She follows the
footprints for a while until she comes across some blood in
the ground so she follows the bloody footprints until she
comes to a small clearing with tree, Josh is there lying
down, out of breath with a broken leg and claw marks on his
chest, his face and body is dirty from trying to crawl to
safety.

SARA
Josh!!!!!

JOSH
(small whisper) Sara, what are you
doing here?

SARA
Looking for you, what happened are
you alright?

Sara rips her shirt and wraps Josh’s wounds with them.

JOSH
That night, I saw this hideous
creature it lashed out at me but I
fell down a hill into a creek.
When I came to the next morning I
found myself with a broken leg and
heard in the distance a loud howl
so I tried to save myself from the
creature but I was out of breath
when I entered this clearing.

SARA
Don’t talk anymore, we have to get
you to the hospital.

Sara tries to get josh on his feet when they hear a loud howl
in the distance and some gun shots to.

SARA (CONT’D)
Come on, we have to get out of here

Sara walks with Josh back on the trial to Mike’s cabin.

JOSH
How did you find me?

SARA
I found some blood on the ground
and your shirt that you left behind

Suddenly the dogman shows himself off to the right staring

down both Josh and Sara!

JOSH
Shit, get out of here save yourself

SARA
I will not let you die

JOSH
Don’t worry about me, just get to
safety.

SARA
No!!!

JOSH
Go........

Josh pulls out his gun shaking and puts in a bullet.

Sara runs off and climbs a tree without the dogman seeing
her.

The Dogman, getting closer and closer, Josh raises his gun
and aims at the creature....... Bang!!, the bullet never hits
the creature. The Dogman lashes out at Josh, killing him
instantly

SARA
NO!!!!!!! (covers her mouth)

The Dogman looks up and looks around but cannot see anything
around so he lets out a loud howl and ventures off in the
distance towards Mikes cabin.

SARA (CONT’D)
No, I have to warn Jennie and the
others

Sara jumps down from the tree and runs back to Mike’s cabin.

SCENE 13: EXT MIKE’S CABIN MID DAY

As Sara is about to come out of the woods Mike scares her by

stopping her from going any further.

MIKE
Sara, is everything ok?

SARA
(out of breath and scared, crying)
NO, He..... killed him

MIKE
Killed who.

SARA
Josh!!! He’s dead

MIKE
Where?

Sara points towards the south where she came from while
crying and breathing heavily.

MIKE (CONT’D)
Ok, Brian, you and the other guys
scout out south of here and I will
take sara to the hospital. If you
find anything, radio back OK.
 31.

BRIAN
OK... guys split up, I will go left
and you go right.

Brian and the guys head out south with guns in their arms.

Mike escorts Sara to his car and then goes into the house,
the hunters go into the woods to find Josh and try to kill
the creature.

SCENE 20: EXT MIKE’S CABIN

MIKE
You stay here, I’m going to see if
Jennie is home.

Sara nods while Mike locks the car and goes off into the
house. After a few minutes Sara calms down when suddenly
there is a loud thud on the window....... The Dogman is
looking in and grinning at her. The Dogman tries to scratch
at the windows and tries to bang the door but it would not
budge, Sara backs off screaming....

The dogman stops and goes towards the cabin door.

Sara tries to get out but the door of the car will not budge.

The dogman opens the door and goes in.

While sara is screaming at the window she notices Jennie

dressed in black cloak with the necklace swinging back and
forth in her hand and a devious look on her face.

Sara shouts

SARA
NOOOOOOOOO!! Please
nooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jennie turns and walks away whistling.
