Start VMware player, a. click on "Open a Virtual Machine", b. navigate and load an unpacked OS image (Windows XP Professional.vmx). 4. a. specify the amount of RAM memory of your host machine that will be allocated to virtual machine, according to your computer's capabilities. 6. Click on network adapter Device. click on Host-only (right side of window). 7. click on "Options" Tab. 8. click on Shared folders. a. "Always enabled" needs to be checked. b. click on Add->next->Browse. Navigate to a host path which will be shared between host achine and virtual machine. c. ->next->check "Enable this share"->Finish. d. Check "Map as network drive in Windows guests".
1. click "OK" button. "Virtual machine settings" window will close.
