BATTLE OF THE VENUES

This season, the top 4 players at each venue will earn a special ticket for a special freeroll team event
Battle of the Venues. This will be held in the break between the end of Season 2 and the regional finals.
Each team will have four representatives earning points. The winner of the tournament will receive the most
points, down to the first player out who will receive the least. The team with the largest total will win prize
money and the title of Best Venue of Canterbury Season 2, 2015. The top individual 3 players on the day
shall also receive cash prizes.
This makes points at individual venues more meaningful and shall create some competition for the top spots.
If a player should qualify for more than one venue, then they will be able to choose their preferred venue to
play for, and the next on the list will be bumped up.
COMPETITION AND VENUE RECOGNITION
The winners of each venue this season will receive an engraved trophy to keep, to commemorate their
achievement. The overall Canterbury leader board champion of the season will have their name engraved on
the championship shield. These will be awarded at the regional final. The top 32 players of the Canterbury
leader board will also battle it out to determine who really the best is, and the winners will receive an
engraved trophy.

HUMP WEEK
In the middle week of the season, or the hump week, you will be able to earn double points at all venues. At
the end of this week, a special tournament will be held each season. These will be buy-in pair events.
Specific rules will apply to these tournaments and will have no bearing on the league points. This season we
will see a Battle of the Decades. Play with a friend born in the same decade as you, alternating hands. Lets
see if the young or old will prevail.

hosting for 3 years.

Bring a Friend Bonus - bring along a first time player and have them registered and you will receive an
extra 5000 chips for your start stack.

WHAT VENUES DO YOU PLAY NPPL AT?

McKenzies (Sun & Mon), Golden Mile
(Wed) and Harringtons Riccarton (Thurs)

Merchandise Loyalty Card within the month of February, every time you participate in the merchandise
sale you will receive a stamp for every $10 spent. Once you have spent $100 within the month and acquired
the stamps then you will receive a bonus $10 worth of chips and numbers in the merchandise sale. Cards
must be completed in the calendar month and if your card is lost or you forget to bring it along there is no
excuses.
