Definition of Central & Regional Processors:

The complete control system of AXE faces many different types

of processing.

APZ subsystem is sub divided into two types of processors:

1. Central Processors: Used for complex & data demanding

functions such as B-Analysis & storage of subscriber's data.

2. Regional Processors: For time consuming scanning & filtering of

signals. The Regional Processors are used for preprocessing of signals
& complex even in the order to remove the load from the central
processors.

The RPs are also control the telephonic equipment which is called
Extension Module (EM).
