Narrator: in 1620, 102 passengers manned the mayflower, pilgrims. These Europeans left England
in search of a better place to live. Finally after a long journey they arrived at Plymouth. See
what happened.
Liz: mamy, Im hungry and tired.
Carol: now, what are we going to do?
Eliana: there is no food, no facilities!.
Oldemar: calm down my dear follow, something good is going to happen.
Ricardo: OH look! There come some Indians.
Eliana: OH yes and they bring food. Good morning Sir
Jaime: Good morning. Welcome to this land.
Genesis: yes, this a blessed land because you can plant these and get food to eat.
Johana: But we dont know how to do that.
Ricardo: Our food is very different
Eliana: of course. For example hot dog, hamburgers, pizza.
Gabriela: OK, dont worry, we can show you and teach you to plant.
Jean Paul: yes, and produce food from earth.
Jaime: but we have to wait, we must expect it to be spring or summer to start planting.
Oldemar: I'm eager to start growing.

Narrator: time passed and it was time for cultivation. After days of waiting, finally fall, They

Genesis: it is time to harvest their crops.
Johana: look! What beautiful crops.

Narrator: The first Thanksgiving celebration lasted several days. Both the Indians and the Pilgrims
shared food, drink and fun.
The day of Thanksgiving is a family celebration in which people even travel to another state
to meet his family. In the United States it is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November,
although originally it was done last Thursday. In Canada, meanwhile, is celebrated on the
second Monday in October.
