TRADE SHOW OF ELEGANCE GIVES BACK TO ROCHESTER COMMUNITY

January 30, 2015 ROCHESTER, NY Women of Focus is holding its 2nd annual Trade Show of
Elegance on Thursday, March 5 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Century Club, 566 East Ave.
Attendees will have the opportunity to shop and network with 50 vendors in a sophisticated and elegant
environment as well as enjoy great food samples and wine bar.
Tickets are $25 with proceeds benefitting The Womens Foundation of Genesee Valley, an organization
focused on promoting economic self-sufficiency for women and girls through grant making and
education.
Women of Focus co-founder Jill Bates says that while the purpose of the Trade Show of Elegance is to
bring women entrepreneurs together, its also about giving back to the community.
"Because March is known as "Celebrate Women Month", it makes sense to design an event in March
that is for women, by women, and because of women, says Bates. Promoting women owned businesses
and the Rochester community can only end up in a win-win!"
Gently used gowns may be brought to the Trade Show of Elegance for the Fairy Godmothers of
Greater Rochester Prom Fair 2015 on Sunday, March 8.
The Fairy Godmothers organization turns financially challenged high school girls into Cinderella for their
prom night, by giving them the opportunity to pick out their dream dress.
Co-founder Rene Spallina says, We feel it is important for every girl to have the opportunity to attend
their prom, so we promote beauty from within and place emphasis on self-esteem and confidence.
