Work status:

Set up of side impact crash model has been prepared, with moving barrier and vehicle in
stationary condition. Complete model is used for side impact crash analysis with composite
side impact beam.

Total of 1684 elements are used for side impact beam and complete FE model of car as been
re meshed according to analysis requirement. Total of 120 milli-seconds of run given with
acceleration pulse of 35Miles/hour side impact applied to moving barrier. 52000 of elements
are used completely in model including complete car model and beam.
Few sets of Runs are completed and requested energy plots and reaction force, displacement
plots in history outputs.
Ford complete model used for side impact crash, total of 32000 elements are used for
analysis. Vehicle at stationary i.e resting and constrained all DOF and composite beam is
incorporated in door enclosed by closure component.
