Teacher Development and Evaluation Plan

WHY?
The foremost factor in student
growth is teacher effectiveness.
Inver Grove Heights has struggled
with effective teacher evaluation
models.
The MN Legislation requires us to
have a negotiated model for
teacher development.

Most of our information/data/documents
will be housed in iObservation
Can also create a portfolio for documents

There will be TIME built in throughout the

year to work on this plan
We will help you along the way and seek
feedback on the process

Teacher Development and Evaluation Plan

1. Complete a self-assessment
through iObservation

This allows you to think critically about

your teaching practice
NO ONE will see the results of your selfassessment but you
Important to honestly assess yourself
Goal: identify areas of strength and
areas of growth

Teacher Development and Evaluation Plan

Self-Assessment
Rate yourself on each of 60 Marzano
elements
Reference: Marzano Element Rubrics (for
rating scales of each of the elements)
Takes approximately 1 hour to complete
After completed, you will see both
recommended elements and available
elements based on your self-assessment.
NO ONE will see these results but you!
