“I am not a product of my

circumstances.i am a product of my
decisions”

The holidays, and passing of another year,are always a time to


reflect on your job,your relationship,your health,etc.At a start
up,everything seem to change by the minute-the funding
landscape shifts,our competitors pivot to come directly after us,
our peers become Unicorns overnight,etc.

But these are just merely circumstances,and were not a


product of our circumstances.Were a product of our
decisions.In 2016, we’ve been blessed to have opportunity to
make, and be involved with, some incredible decisions.

But was 2016.Were now in 2020, and faced with great


uncertainly.All of the decision above were not forecasted on
the eve of 2016.What lies ahead is unknown some individuals
fear the changing regime and what it means for their jobs,
families, and loved ones.Some companies face a future with
Inadequate funding, insufficient teams and lack of customers.
It’s obvious why we become a product of our
circumstances.They can be daunting, uncertain and
paralyzing.But if I’ve learned anything from 2016, and starting a
company, it’s that great things happen not because of the
circumstances, but rather, despite them.Regardless of what
we’re faced with, we must decide to act.

Our 2020 resolution at adMass is to do exactly that act.We


have big goals for 2020.This year,adMass will help advertisers
connect with their costumers through advocates, not just serve
impressions.We’ll build countless mutually beneficial
partnerships between brands and advocates.

partnership between brands and advocates.We’ll enable
advocates to work with their peers, and form teams to work
brands they love (we call this squad).And we’re going to do all
of this by building incredibly beautiful products, powered by
proprietary algorithms that change the way advertisers interact
with each one of us.
So where will that lead us? What circumstances will we find
ourselves in at the end of 2020? I don’t know. But I can say with
confidence, in 2020, regardless of the circumstances , will
decide to give rather than take.We’ll decide to fight for
diversity of team and thought rather than the status quo. We’ll
decide that our local and global impact is more important than
our revenue and valuation.

I believe that if we all decide to act we can accomplish great


things in 2020, not because of the circumstances, but despite
any circumstances that may arise
