CONTEST INFORMATION
1. N.B.T.A. RULES: All N.B.T.A. age divisions, time limits and rules will be observed. To obtain of copy
of the rules please visit www.batontwirling.com.
a. Reminder: No gymnastics allowed, including but not limited to: body aerials, walkovers,
cartwheels, butterflies, somersaults. Performance of these movements will result in
disqualification. No double entering. No mace twirling.
2. ORDER OF PERFORMANCE: The order of performance will be in REVERSE order of the entries
received for pageant solo.
3. GYM FEE: To eliminate the door fee, a $20.00 gym fee (per family) will be charged and must be
included with each entry.
4. VIDEO TAPING: You may video tape your own child or student from the designated area only.
5. CLERKS NEEDED: To add your name to the list please call (614) 436-8083 or e-mail
twirlingbuckeyes@yahoo.com.
6. OFFICIAL RESULTS: The results will become official 15 minutes after the conclusion of the Awards
Ceremony. Please check all results immediately. Pageant awards will be trophies for 1st through 5TH
place with the exception of Novice Pageant which will have medallions. Pageant winner will also
receive a beautiful sash and flowers.
7. AWARDS CEREMONY: Awards for all Pageant events will be presented at the Awards Ceremony.
Wear a costume for pictures. A photographer will be present at the contest and pictures will be available
for purchase.
a. ALL score sheets will be passed out at the completion of the contest for all announced results.
Please have someone pick up your sheets and awards for you if you cannot stay. NO awards will
be mailed.
8. NO COOLERS OR OUTSIDE FOOD: A concessions stand will be available throughout the day.
9. NO SMOKING: permitted in the building or where otherwise disallowed by law.
10. NEW--- ADVANCED 1ST PLACE WINNERS MAY COMPETE- AWARD WINNER $100.00
11. THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL EVENT. DO NOT CONTACT THE SCHOOL REGARDING THIS
EVENT.

Bring picture to directors table by 8:30 am Jr 0-12 Sr 13+ 1st trophy and sash /2nd -3rd trophy

The PROGRAM BOOK will include information about the contest and lane assignments. Remember
to pre-order one for $3.00 with your entry. Programs will be available day of competition for $5.00.

NOTE: Contest directors reserve the right to change the order of the events listed above to keep the contest
moving. We will attempt to have open events before PAGEANT events. If pageant events are on before the open
events, you MUST compete in the pageant event first.
N.S.F. CHECKS will be charged a $35.00 fee. Sorry, no refunds.
Phone entries for open events only to (614) 436-8083 before 10:00 pm. There is a $5.00 phone entry charge.
Open entries accepted with late fee. Open event entries will be accepted after the MARCH 26 deadline with a
$5.00 per event late fee. CASH ONLY DAY OF CONTEST.
Entry changes after the entry deadline will be charged a $5.00 fee UNLESS a 1st place win forces you to advance
to a higher division. Call immediately to change entry. Entries that are incomplete, not signed, or that do not
include payment, including the gym fee, will NOT be processed until the problem is corrected.
