Subject: Noise pollution Distriburbance by Dhobiana Basti
Sir,
We the residents of Urban Estate Phase II Model Town
Bathinda, Gace unbearable disturbance from Dhobiana Basti
adjoining our Houses from Kothi No. 3 to 81 due to following
reasons:(a)
Dhobiana Basti is encroached upon PUDA Land by
migrants from other states and belongs to different
faiths/culture and Punjab State Govt. employees.
(b)
There are large number of unauthorized Gurudwaras,
Mandir Mushrooming merely to avoid demolition drive to
protect their huts/settlements.
(c)
The use of loud speakers at full volume by these places
early morning/evening and during day also for various
functions cause noise pollution at high pitch disturb our
living.
(d)
As the density of population of Dhobiana Basti is much
more than PUDA Estate, the festivals, marriages and
Birth/death functions are frequent using DJ system/Loud
Speakers also cause noise pollution.

This high level noise pollution is a cause for our concern and
painful to old age parents, senior citizens and grown up
children/students preparing for exams higher study. Earlier also
the matter was taken up with SDM Bathinda but no relief provided
despite orders on this.
3.
Kindly do the needful to provide us relief from Noise
Pollution.
