peoples lives in every way. She supports this by first providing his background, then she paraphrases what he
says in his lecture that go along with her statements, and finally she shows how successful the Last Lecture
became. Gibbs purpose is to get Randy Pauschs story out there for people to know where he came from, and
how unsuccessful he started in order to prove that anyone can be successful with the right tools, the right
mindset, and the right opportunity or experience. She sets a positive tone for those who dont quite believe in
themselves or who need those extra motivating words to help push them in the right direction.
