    understand the developments and application of economic theory in regard to the world economy
    that will shape the remainder of your life. In order to do that, you must develop and maintain a
    cognitive map of the daily events that shape our world. As a result, each week you will be asked
    to find a connection between the daily news reported and the economic concepts/themes studied
    in class. By clipping out news articles from business publications/newspapers (Wall Street
    Journal, Business Week, NY Times, Investors Business Daily, The Journal News, etc.), you will
