Students are expected to dedicate a minimum of 1 hour - Spartan Hour to their schoolwork outside

of school each day. During this hour students should focus on the following things:

Complete homework from the day


Complete any make-up/missing work

Read for pleasure


Study for tests/quizzes
Work on long-term projects
Read appropriate materials (textbook, class notes)

Study Tips:

* Select a space that is study-conducive. Pick a place where you feel comfortable to work and try to keep it consistent.

* No technology distracBons! Save phones and social media for a reward when you are nished. Taking technology breaks
will only prolong your homework Pme.
*PrioriBze your assignments and stay organized. Take on your more dicult assignments rst while you have more
stamina. Use your planner!
*Dont wait unBl the last minute! Focus on the work that needs to be completed by tomorrow, but dont forget about long-
term projects. Deadlines are closer than they appear!
*Ask for help when needed. You can start with your teacher, but also ask classmates, use the class website for resources, or
