Topic: Divorce should be legalized

Of course, divorce (by Wormy)

In our country, divorce is something that we dont allow, even we are the last
country on Earth that doesnt legalize it, it has its advantages but because we follow
the teachings of the Catholic Church, we are against it. Many people consider
divorce because it is easy to file, way cheaper and more effective than annulment
and legal separation.
As stated above, divorce is more effective and beneficial especially to abused
wives, broken families and unsuccessful marriages. With the help of the court,
divorce can also provide support for the divorced parents so it would not complicate
and make further problems for the broken family. Divorce can also file custody for
the child/children of the parent but it may affect the child emotionally, mentally or
physically, especially if the child is under the age of 18, but most children can forget
and return to their normal lives a few years after the encounter. Due to remarrying,
young children may also not cope with their future step-parent because they think
they could never take the place of their biological parent.
A divorce gives a fresh start to the couple so they can have independence
and freedom to choose, so none of them would suffer the same mistake again. It is
also because their days of being together are not working anymore, so they should
sever their ties and live separately. Unlike living under a roof full of violence and
quarrels, they should be separated immediately so it can bring peace to the family.
Infact, annulment and divorce are practically the same, it targets and focuses
separation of couple and voids the marriage, so why not consider in legalizing
divorce?
Divorce is a way to escape a failed marriage, every person should think about
their happiness rather than living their lifetime in pain. It has its own benefits but
legalizing divorce may affect our culture and everyday living. -30-
