1. What is the name of the virus/bacteria/prion that is the focus of the movie?
A) Motaba
2. What are the symptoms of the virus/bacteria/prion?
A) Flu-like symptoms, severe internal bleeding, liquefies internal organs
3. What is the incubation period for this particular virus/bacteria/prion?
A) 24 hours
4. What is the mode of transfer/spread for this disease?
A) Initially- Blood droplets or body fluids. Mutated to airborne
5. What is the significance of the monkey they are trying to find?
A) The monkey was the host of Motaba and showed no signs of infection. They could
make antibodies to the second virus.
6. What type of organism is the cause of the disease? (virus, bacteria, or prion?)
A) Virus
7. What was the resolution in this particular film for this outbreak?
A) After locating the host monkey and making the antibodies needed for the second
virus, several of the infected townspeople and scientists were cured and saved.
Otherwise, if the monkey was not located, the government was going to bomb the
town with a fire-bomb, which would have incinerated the whole area.
