ESSAY OF INTENT

I believe some of the most pressing problems from the lens of business and society
in the coming decade will be lack of Integrity, increased selection and competition,
uncertainty, data-manipulation and cyber theft. Increased competition and selection
as well as high ambitions to be more successful than others have lead people to cut
corners when it comes to moral values. It has become so prevalent that people
nowadays have started considering it as a part of business. This trend is only
expected to rise in the coming decade leading to downfall of the businesses and the
societal structure. When it comes to uncertainty, we can see that uncertainty
element has been constantly on the rise be it volatile economies, political
scenario, weather and even human temperament. This is likely to fail any attempts
to create stability in our personal and professional lives leading to great problems in
business and society. Data-manipulation and cyber theft have already proved fatal
for nations, economies as well as individuals and with our increasing dependency on
internet and virtual land, it is only going to increase and create greater problems. I
believe that the leadership skills and enhanced networking skills acquired from the
Global Pre-MBA Leadership Program will help me maintain and propagate a better
working culture which lays stress on the importance of integrity and dealing with
uncertainty in various areas. Also, the management skills learnt in the program will
help deal with the uncertainties of our times in a more efficient and stress free way.
Enhanced networking skills will mean quality people to brainstorm with, our ideas
and come collectively on solutions to the problems being faced by us.
Hence, the program will help in a long way in dealing with the business and societal
problems of the coming decade.
