Dinosaur extinction theory

TECTONIC PLATE

DINOSAURS

Dinosaurs are reptiles with splayed legs, and greenish pebbled

skin.

A dinosaur has many different habitats such as plains, wetlands,

swamp forest, deserts, and islands.

Dinosaurs eat plants, insects and small animals.

Some types of dinosaurs are tyrannosaurus rexes, spinosaurous,

and stegosaurus.

They lived from between 230 and 65 million years ago. Time
known as the Mesozoic Era.

Extinction and mass extinction

Extinction: The state or process of a species, family, or larger

group being or becoming extinct.

Mass extinction: The extinction of a large number of species

within a relatively short period of geological time.

Dinosaurs became extinct 65 million years ago.

Tectonic plate theory

Tectonic plates are pieces of the earths crust and uppermost

mantle, together referred to as the lithosphere.

Dinosaurs couldve died gradually because of climate cooling and

accompanying changes in vegetation due to tectonic plates.

People believe that contented drift occurred which caused the

oceans to experience returning to a less developed state.
